RENE HEGER

Rene Heger made his feature film debut, as the lead character, in the independent film Boots (September Song), directed by renowned German writer/director Ulli Lommel. Rene starred as Stefan, the son of a German conductor killed by Neo-Nazis, during a visit to Los Angeles. Rene must then defend his home from the racist group that murdered his father. Boots (September Song), made its world premiere at the 2001 Munich Film festival.

Rene's other film credits include, supporting roles in the independent film "Dallas 362, which premiered at the Las Vegas Film Festival  in 2003, as well as the pivotal role of "Quartermaster Klause" in Lionsgate’s WW II drama In Enemy Hands , also starring William H. Macy and Til Schweiger, Lauren Holly, Scott Caan, Jeremy Sisto and Thomas Kretschmann. The film was released in 2004.

In addition, he played the lead in the independent film The Hillz, opposite James DeBello, as well as the 2006 short film Epitome, which was selected as one of the Top 10 short films at the world famous Kurosawa Film Festival in Tokyo. Furthermore, Rene can be seen in L.A. Wedding Eve, an award winner at the 2007 Honolulu Film Festival.

He just wrapped shooting for Remember the Eyes, an intriguing story about love, the recognition of one’s soul and the true meaning of life. Yet another candidate for some of the industry's most prolific Film Festivals. Rene's TV credits include such High-Profile shows as, Gilmore Girls (CW), ABC's Port Charles, Charmed (CW) for Aaron Spelling TV and the former CBS hit series The Agency, executive produced by Wolfgang Petersen. He also had a national campaign for "DRUG FREE AMERICA" to his credit, and stage work ranging from Shakespeare's As You Like It to the "Stella Adler Theatre Annual One Act Festival".

Furthermore he has worked with various graduate student film directors, to help complete their directors' reels, from a variety of universities. Rene has since gained an excellent reputation with Hollywood's top casting directors and producers.

Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, Rene has a professional tennis player background, but was forced to end that career due to a lower back injury. It was not until the age of 17, when Rene had his first yearning to become an actor after seeing a play at the National State Theatre.

He then joined a local theatre group and soon appeared on stage in numerous theatrical productions, ranging from classic Greek to contemporary works. Rene then relocated to Los Angeles to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.

It was in Los Angeles, where he graduated from the prestigious "STELLA ADLER ACADEMY OF ACTING"- following in the footsteps of acting legends as Marlon Brando, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert DeNiro.
